FAQs

I would like to know if we should bring our own food & water?
You can, but there will be water vendors on site, and the Mt. Ashland Ski Lodge will be open during event hours, with a full restaurant, & snack bar.

Is there stadium seating?
No, the natural amphitheater that PMNW is utilizing is a grassy knoll, and we recommend that you bring a folding chair, and/or a blanket for seating and the night chill.

What does it cost for parking?
Parking is free with a festival ticket, and though this is not recommended, PMNW understands that some may attempt car camping, and so, this is permitted, but, no camp fires or metal stakes upon the asphalt. No open Fires! No Staking into the Asphalt!

What does the Festival ticket cost include?
Festival tickets are "All Weekend Access" and provide entry to the Communion Station @ the Summit and the 14 Station Prayer Walk, as well as all the Live Worship events on Friday Night, the Saturday Praise, Prayer, and Worship events, the R.O.A.R. reenactment and Sundays SunRise Teaching & Worship Service.

And concludes on Sunday August 15th. @ Noon.

What will the weather be like?  The weather on Mt. Ashland in August can be variable. Temperatures in the daytime can be in the 80's, and cool down to the 40's overnight, so dress accordingly (please bring a jacket and/or blanket - pack warm clothes for nighttime). Afternoon and evening thunderstorms can form quickly over the mountain, so an umbrella or hat would be a could idea to pack, as well. Typically, the mountain is breezy this time of year, so you may want to pack a windbreaker, too.

What about wildlife?  Mt. Ashland is located in National Forest lands, abundant with wildlife. Chipmunks and squirrels are abundant, deer are plentiful, and there are some brown bears in the forest.  Although we do not expect any surprise visitations, it would be wise to keep all food locked in secure locations, away from tents and anyplace you would sleep or rest.  Please do not attempt to feed any of the wildlife at any time!  Also, the lush vegetation on Mt. Ashland attracts insects including wasps and bees.  Please wear or apply insect repellent when you are outdoors during our event.

What about the altitude? The altitude at the Lodge at Mt. Ashland is 6,400 feet above sea level. In order to prevent altitude sickness, please drink lots of water.  Keeping your body hydrated is the best way to enjoy the weekend.  Coffee, tea, and other diuretics de-hydrate your body, so please drink lots of water and avoid too much coffee.

What about alcohol?  Alcohol will not be permitted on or at our event.  We have a zero-tolerance policy - anyone possessing alcoholic beverages or appearing to be intoxicated will be asked to leave.

What about smoking? Because Mt. Ashland is located on National Forest lands, smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas on the parking lot.
